The first meeting of Aram Khachaturian's 120th-anniversary jubilee committee took place in the RA government
The first meeting of Aram Khachaturian's 120th-anniversary jubilee committee, chaired by the Head of the Prime Minister's Office Arayik Harutyunyan, took place in the RA government.
A number of organizational issues aimed at holding the events dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of the famous Armenian composer, conductor, and People's Artist of the USSR, Aram Khachaturian, at a high level were discussed.
The commission members created to coordinate the work within the framework of the anniversary events program presented the preparatory work and the upcoming tasks. Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan informed that about 40 applications were received to be included in the list of events for the 120th anniversary of Aram Khachatryan. Within the framework of the program, tours, festivals, educational events, recordings, the publication of a collection of letters, various references to Aram Khachatryan, international competitions, the exhibition of unique materials, etc. are planned.
Araik Harutyunyan emphasized the need for consistent work and cooperation from the concerned departments in order to organize the coordination work effectively
