November 1 is Alexander Spendiaryan's birthday.
On this occasion, the tribute event was organized at the composer's grave, located close to the Yerevan Opera. The director of the composer's house-museum Marine Otaryan, the president of the Composers Union of Armenia Aram Satian, the director of the A. Spendiaryan National Academic Theater Karen Durgaryan, professors of Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory Armen Budaghyan and Davit Ghazaryan made a speech during the event.
A. Spendiaryan's songs "Lullaby" and "Your black eyes seduced me" were performed by the soloists of Yerevan Opera Narine Ananikyan (mezzo-soprano) and Ofelia Hambardzumyan (soprano).
The students of Yerevan school No. 154 and No. 155 named after L. Mirijanyan also participated in the event.
