Laureates of of the Gohar Gasparyan Pan-Armenian Soloist Competition announced
The Armenian Music Society organized the Gohar Gasparyan All-Armenian Competition of Soloists (Classical Singing) from December 2 to 9, with support from the Republic of Armenia's Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports.

This year's competition marked the 100th anniversary of the birth of Professor Gohar Gasparyan, the People's Artist of the USSR and State Prize awardee.
The Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall hosted the competition's gala concert and awards ceremony.

Daniel Danielyan, the Deputy Minister of ESCS attended the event. He welcomed competitors, jury members, guests and emphasized the importance of organizing this competition to commemorate Gohar Gasparyan's anniversary.

"Gohar Gasparyan has made essential contributions to the development, promotion, and popularization of Armenian cultural heritage, and it is no surprise that this competition holds her name. As a cultural ambassador, Gohar Gasparyan has popularized Armenian opera art worldwide with her intriguing role songs and unrivaled performance abilities. Gohar Gasparyan's contribution as a teacher is also noteworthy. "He has passed on to his students such knowledge and nuances of performing art, as a result of which they have performed on the world's best stages," stated Daniel Danielyan, who wished all competition competitors good luck and professional growth.
On December 9, during the award ceremony held in the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall, the following participants received prizes from the jury:

Simonyan Sofia - 2nd prize
Melkonian Victoria - 2nd prize
Misakyan Mary - 3rd prize
Ordanyan Hovhannes - 2nd prize
Podratchyan Hayk - 3rd prize
Mkrtchyan Arthur - 3rd prize
Mariam Grigoryan - Prize for the best performance of Komitas

On November 29, the competition draw was held at the acoustic hall of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory. 43 young vocalists submitted applications for competition participation. The first round was held on December 2-4 in the Yerevan P. Tchaikovsky Secondary Professional Music School. The second round was held on December 6-7, with 21 contestants. On December 8, the 11 contestants who passed the third round performed at Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall.
