Sacred music festival to be held in regions of Armenia
In September, Armenia will host a sacred music festival. The National Chamber Music Center initiated it, with the support of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports. Regional concerts will be held within the framework of the event.
On September 22, the State Chamber Choir of Armenia (artistic director and chief conductor: Robert Mlkeyan) and the State Chamber Orchestra of Armenia (artistic director and chief conductor: Vahan Martirosyan) will perform in Ptghni Cathedral. Robert Mlkeyan, RA People's Artist, will conduct the concert. Hymns and spiritual works by Komitas, Mansuryan, Mozart, Schubert, Fauré, Barber, and others are on the program.
On September 23, "Hover" State Chamber Choir (conductors: Sona Hovhannisyan, Narine Voskanyan) and the Yerevan State Chamber Choir (artistic director and conductor: Kristina Voskanyan) will perform in the Church of the Holy Mother of God in Bjni.
