Edward Mirzoyan competition to take place from May 10-13
On the initiative of the Composers Union of Armenia, Edward Mirzoyan competition of young composers will take place from May 10 to 13.
The project is implemented with the support of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport, in partnership with Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory and the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra.
The competition is open to Armenian artists under the age of 18, split into two age groups. Junior group representatives (up to 13 years old) must submit 1 composition written for any instrument (maximum 10 minutes) and the participants of the senior group (14-18 years old) - 1 composition written for up to 4 instruments (maximum 15 minutes).
All participants will be awarded certificates of participation, incentive gifts, and will also have an opportunity to record at the YKSC Acoustic Laboratory, and the participants who won prizes will also receive diplomas and nominal cups of the competition. There will be financial prizes for the winners of both groups, as well as for the teachers of the winners.
