Babajanyan and jazz
The RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports and the National Chamber Music Center present a concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Arno Babajanyan on July 31. The concert will take place at 9:00 p.m. in the park of the Komitas Chamber Music House.
The State Chamber Orchestra of Armenia (artistic director and principal conductor Vahan Mardirossian) and Vahagn Hayrapetyan Trio (Vahagn Hayrapetyan (piano, vocals), Arman Mnatsakanyan (drums), Makar Novikov (double bass)) will perform during the concert. Vahagn Hayrapetyan's jazz arrangements of Arno Babajanyan's works will be presented for the first time.
The concert will be conducted by conductor Robert Mlkeyan. Mavr Mkrtchyan (baritone), Sofya Sayadyan (soprano), Daniel Melkonyan (trumpet) will perform as soloists.
