“Little Singers of Armenia” choir marks its 30th anniversary
The path the “Little Singers of Armenia” choir has passed has 30 years of history. The jubilee concert held under the patronage of Yerevan Municipality at “Aram Khachatryan” music hall united alumni of different years. The singers of the senior and junior groups performed on stage to tell about the activity of the choir.

A number of eminent musicians were present at the event to congratulate the “Little Singers of Armenia”: the Children’s Cappella of Tbilisi (Conductor-Gela Parchukidze), conductors Mario Fontana (Switzerland), Alfonsas Vildzunas (Lithuania) and bandoneon player Mario Stefano Pietrodarki (Italy).

The “Little Singers of Armenia” headed by the RA Distinguished Art Figure, choirmaster Tigran Hekekyan have numerous concert performances in Armenia and beyond. The choir has achieved 2 gold medals, and 4 silver medals in international contests, and participated in many prestigious festivals: in 2001 it was awarded the honorary title “Culture Ambassador of Europe”, and in 2002 it was recognized as the best children’s choir by the International Federation of Choral Music.
