Edward Mirzoyan competition to be held online
On the initiative of the Composers Union of Armenia, the Competition of Young Composers after Edward Mirzoyan has been held since May 10-12, 2014. Due to the need to implement comprehensive measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, in partnership with the Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas, this years competition will be held online.
The aim of the initiative is to encourage young composers to make their works heard on online platforms. A joint video will be made from the best works selected by the organizing committee of the project, which will be posted on online platforms on Edward Mirzoyan's birthday, on May 12.
