"Museum Night - 2022"։ Armenian National Music's choice
The pan-European "Museum Night" event which unites millions of people around the world will be held On May 21, 2022. As in previous years, this year the museums of Armenia will present to the public permanent temporary exhibitions, educational, cultural events and lectures. Armenian National Music has noted the most interesting musical events that will be held during the pan-European event.
"Artemi Ayvazyan-120"
This year marks the 120th birth anniversary of the famous composer Artemi Ayvazyan. Especially on this occasion, an exhibition dedicated to the life and activity of the composer will be opened at the Museum of Literature and Art, as well as a concert with the pieces of the beloved composer will be performed.
"Gayane of the 21st Century"
This year marks the 80th anniversary of Aram Khachaturian's famous "Gayane" ballet. The house-museum of the composer in collaboration with with "Teryan" cultural center has prepared a fashion show.
"Hovel": new music, new format
The "Hovel" music project will be presented at the Komitas Museum-Institute. The performed works are based on Nerses Shnorhali's "Confession with faith" book, and composed by Elen Yolchyan and Edgar Yengibaryan. Performers are soprano: Hasmik Baghdasaryan-Dolukhanyan, flute: Narek Avagyan, horn: Arthur Hovhannisyan, duduk: Artak Asatryan, viola: Arusyak Shahazizyan, guitar: Henrik Melikyan, cello: Teresa Sargsyan, piano: Elen Yolchyan.
"A few musical moments, a pinch of love, a bunch of genius thoughts"
The Alexander Spendiaryan House-Museum is one of the first museums in Armenia to join the "Museum Night" pan-European event in 2014. The cocoa tasting tradition began in the same year. The great composer loved to make cocoa. The symbolic recipe is mentioned on his cup of cocoa: "A few musical moments, a pinch of love, a bunch of brilliant thoughts." The "Cocoa by Spendiaryan" ceremony became the symbol of the house museum during this event.
