Yeghishe Charents Museum of Literature and Art celebrates its 100th anniversary
2021 marks the 100th anniversary of the Yeghishe Charents Museum of Literature and Art. The founder of the museum is philologist, historian Yervand Shahaziz. On this occasion, the programs and events of the museum and its branches this year are held under the title "Yeghishe Charents Museum of Literature and Art is 100 years old".
According to the website of the Ministry of ESCS of Armenia, the most important events of the jubilee year will be held in the fall, focusing on the concert and the conference. It is planned to implement the concert program in Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall. In the near future, a professional group of musicians and conductors will visit the museum to study the museum's music funds. In the fall, there will be a concert program dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the museum.
Within the jubilee events, it is planned to celebrate the 100th anniversary of composer Arno Babajanyan, the 150th anniversary of Alexander Spendiaryan, the state commission of which includes a representative of the museum. Spendiaryan's rich archive is preserved and developed in the Museum of Literature and Art. Taking all this into account, the museum's events will be in different directions, as well as in cooperation with the Spendiaryan House Museum.
