"Roads of Friendship": Legendary Ricardo Muti to perform in Yerevan
Legendary conductor, a great friend of the Armenian people Ricardo Muti will perform in Yerevan, within the Yerevan Perspectives International Festival. As Sona Hovhannisyan, general manager of the Festival told Armenian National Music, this year the festival is hosting the Ravenna Festival, and the Renowned conductor will perform within this event.
The concert entitled "Roads of Friendship" will take place on July 4 at A. Spendiaryan Opera and Ballet theatre. Within the concert, Muti will conduct Orchestra Giovanile Luigi Cherubini and the Armenian State Chamber Choir (artistic director and conductor: Robert Mlkeyan). Soloists: Nina Minasyan (soprano), Giovanni Sala (tenor) Gurgen Baveyan (baritone), Davide Cavalli (organ). The program includes pieces by F.J. Haydn, W.A. Mozart, F. Schubert and T. Mansuryan.
A day before the concert, the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Eduard Topchjan will perform a concert in honor of Ricardo Muti and the Ravenna Festival at Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall. The orchestra will perform Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3 (soloist: Maya Ohanyan) և Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique.
