The renovated auditoriums of R. Melikyan Music College are named after famous students
Yerevan Romanos Melikyan State Music College celebrates its 100th anniversary this year.

RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan, Deputy Minister Ara Khzmalyan and Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sports Sisak Gabrielyan visited the music college to participate in the opening and naming of renovated auditoriums. They were named after the great composers who were grateful to music, and were also graduates of the academy, including Lusine Zakaryan, Eduard Baghdasaryan, Georgi Minasov, Rafael Mangasaryan, and Boris Sakkilari. The auditoriums were also named after musicologist Armen Budaghyan and composer Robert Amirkhanyan, who were present at the event. In each of the newly opened auditoriums, the students of the college presented performances selected from the works of the given artist. Eight classrooms and the college hall were renovated.

According to Varazdat Khachumyan, director of the Romanos Melikyan State Music College in Yerevan, the repair works were carried out with the support of benefactors as a gift to the 100-year-old music school.
