Armenian pianist wins the first prize at the GRAND PIANO IN NOVORSSIYSK
Armenian young pianist Laura Galstyan won the first prize at the GRAND PIANO IN NOVORSSIYSK (Russia) international piano competition which held online in late November online. The international jury was chaired by the famous Russian pianist Alexander Yakovlev. In the competition program, Laura Galstyan represented works by L. van Beethoven, M․ Ravel and A ․ Babajanyan. As a laureate of the competition, Laura Galstyan has invited to have a solo concert at the Grand Piano in Palace Summer Music Festival in St. Petersburg, as well as at D. Shostakovich State Philharmonic Orchestra hall, "Marble" hall of Russian Museum in the concert hall of the Composers' House.

Laura Galstyan is studying at  Yerevan A. Spendiaryan music specialized school, under the direction of RA Honored Artist Hayk Melikyan. She is a laureate of many international competitions, including Austrian "Feurich" (2nd prize) "Vienna International Art Festival" (1st prize), American "Future Stars" (3rd prize), Italian "Melos" (1st prize), Polish "Krystian Tkaczewski" (6th prize), etc. She had master-classes with professor Lizzie Howard (Great Britain), Jerome Lowenthal (USA), Sergio Thimpo (Argentina), and others.
