I'm back in Armenia with big pleasure: Oliver Vedder
Valentine's Day will be marked in the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia with a festive concert entitled "Love", which is attended by opera singers, soprano Liana Aleksanyan and Nina Minasyan, baritone David Babayants, tenor Liparit Avetisyan. The orchestra will play under the baton of German conductor Oliver Vedder.
"This is not my first visit to Armenia. I have worked with your beautiful orchestra twice, I'm back in Armenia with big pleasure. The orchestra will perform with a fantastic ensemble of soloists. I am glad that I had the opportunity to meet such artists, "Oliver Vedder told reporters, adding that the beloved songs of Charles Aznavour, Arno Babajanyan, and Michel Legrand will be performed parallelly with the opera gems of the world classical music. The conductor is sure that everyone will like the program. He also mentioned that the music life in Armenia is active, the musicians and the audience have the opportunity to enjoy the concerts, while due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in his homeland-Germany all the concert organizations have been closed since November 2020.
"When I saw what was happening in our country, I realized that the people are divided into groups, we forgot to love each other. It is necessary to love each other and remember that without love we may go the wrong way, "said Liana Aleksanyan, a participant in the concert, talking about love. She added that all her upcoming concerts in Europe have been canceled due to the pandemic; it is uncertain when the musical life will resume.
The "Love" concert will take place on February 13 and 14 at Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall.
