Despite the disaster, Alaverdi's "Lazur" folk ensemble to perform in Yerevan
Alaverdi's "Lazur" folk group (artistic director and shvi player Sargis Aleksanyan) will play at Yerevan, at Arno Babajanyan concert hall on June 7 at the State Philharmonia of Armenia.
The ensemble's members chose to go on with the concert despite the impending disaster, proving once more that the people of Lori are unbreakable under all circumstances. They would dedicate themselves to Lori's restless world by playing the local song and music as solace and inspiration.
Soloists and ensemble members will perform Armenian music throughout the evening: folk, gusan music, patriotic melodies, and well-known pieces by Armenian composers.
