By decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, financial resources have been allocated for the jubilee events marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra.

Several events and concert programs are planned as part of the jubilee celebrations.

An additional 300 million drams will be allocated for the anniversary events, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra. The provided financial support will go toward the opening and closing events of the jubilee year, the implementation of the “Philharmonic in the Regions” project, the organization of tours for the ANPO in the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the preparation of the “National Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia is 100 Years Old” brand book.

The jubilee events of the ANPO commenced on May 14 with a large concert featuring world-renowned pianist Yuja Wang. Additional events are also scheduled throughout the year, including concerts featuring acclaimed musicians, who will perform in both individual concerts and as part of the Yerevan International Music Festival. The closing concert program will be conducted by Valery Gergiev and Denis Matsuev.

Twelve concerts are planned as part of the “Philharmonic in the Regions” project. Four concerts will be held in the Syunik region (Meghri, Kapan, Goris, Sisian), with one concert each in the Shirak (Gyumri) and Lori (Stepanavan) regions, and two concerts each in Armavir (Armavir and Echmiadzin), Ararat (Artashat, Vedi), and Kotayk regions (Hrazdan, Charentsavan).

The concerts of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra in the Islamic Republic of Iran will take place in the historical capital of Iran, Persepolis, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, as well as in the cultural and political center of Iran, Tehran.
