World Premiere of Vache Sharafyan's "Armenian Odyssey" Suite to take place in Washington

"An Armenian Odyssey: The Color of Pomegranates" Festival will be held in Washington DC from February 29 to March 14 under the auspices of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the USA.

The program includes Armenian movie screenings and concert programs.

The central event of the Festival is scheduled on March 4, at 7.30 pm at Washington National Cathedral. Jivan Gasparyan, the legendary duduk virtuoso, along with Jivan Gasparyan Jr, and, world-renowned cellist, Narek Hakhnazarian will perform within the concert. The concert features Vache Sharafyan's "Armenian Odyssey" Suite (World Premiere), as well as the 2nd Cello Concerto now with Narek Hakhnazaryan, PostClassical Ensemble, Zulal vocal ensemble under the baton of Angel Gil-Ordóñez.   

Kevork Mourad, a Syrian-Armenian artist, will illustrate in real-time to the music, Pr department of the Embassy reports.
