Arno Babajanyan's 100th anniversary was celebrated in Moscow
A concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the famous Soviet and Armenian composer, People's Artist of the USSR Arno Babajanyan took place at the Grand Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory named after P.I. Tchaikovsky. 

The famous pieces of the composer were performed at the anniversary concert by the Symphony Orchestra of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation (conducted by Sergey Durygin), Soloists:  Haik Kazazyan (violin), Nikita Galaktionov (piano), Svyatoslav Tekuchev (saxophone) and Andrey Yershov (trumpet). 

Before the beginning of the concert, the Armenian Ambassador to Russia Vardan Toganyan made a welcoming speech. He, in particular, noted the importance of preserving the memory and the heritage of Arno Babajanyan, and also spoke about various events planned this year in connection with the composer's anniversary.
