The trumpet call
After the nine-month hiatus, the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra resumes its concert activities. Besides, it's the first concert after the Artsakh war and dedicated to our heroes. The program includes Alexander Arutyunyan's Trumpet Concerto (soloist: Kirill Soldatov) and Aram Khachaturian's Symphony with Bells. ANPO Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Eduard Topchjan will conduct the concert
"It is a great honor for me to perform the Trumpet concerto inArutiunian's homeland. It is one of the most frequently performed concerts ever written for my instrument. It is an exceptional work that shows not only the whole emotional world of the Armenian people but also all the technical possibilities of the trumpet is used," Kirill Soldatov told the journalists. "Music creates life. We let the emotions pass through our bodies. Our mission is to convey people's emotions, to calm them down, to inspire them. I often perform Arutyunian's concerto, but here I will play it for the first time. "
Eduard Topchjan added that the concert season will be announced with the call of Arutyunian's trumpet, as it is very famous and at the same time understandable to the Armenian audience. The performance of Aram Khachaturian's second symphony is also symbolic. "The second symphony is a sound of war, where we can find all the alarms, and ends with is victory. I am sure, the victory announced in the fourth part of that symphony will one day will symbolize be the reborn Artsakh and Armenia. First days, it was very difficult to play, but we must continue doing our work, become stronger, have the best scientists in the world, cultural institutions, IT specialists so that we can make our country stronger and no one will dare to hit us. The Armenian soldier did incredible things, but everything should not be put on the army. " According to Topchjan, after all these disasters, no one wanted to do anything, but they understood that they should move forward.
The upcoming concerts of the ANPO will be held in strict compliance with the anti-pandemic rules, every third seat only will be occupied.
The last concert of ANPO took place on March 13. In the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, the musicians of the orchestra in small groups actively participated in various online and TV projects, as well as state events.
