Armenian Culture Days to be held in Georgia

Armenian Culture Days will take place in Georgia in October 2026, marking the 35th anniversary of Armenia’s independence, the Armenian Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports said.

As part of preparations for the program, Deputy Minister Tigran Virabyan traveled to Tbilisi on September 3, where he met with Georgia’s Deputy Minister of Culture Giorgi Mirtskhulava. Armenia’s Ambassador to Georgia, Ashot Smbatyan, also attended the meeting.

The officials discussed preparations for the Armenian Culture Days program and explored new opportunities to expand cultural cooperation between Armenia and Georgia. During his visit to Tbilisi, Virabyan also met with Badri Maisuradze, Artistic Director of the Zakaria Paliashvili Tbilisi State Opera and Ballet Theatre.

The cultural program will officially open on October 7 with a gala concert by the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra.

An exhibition dedicated to the work of renowned Armenian artist Yervand Kochar will also be held as part of the program. The exhibition will run from October 7 to November 8.

The Armenian Culture Days are expected to showcase Armenia’s artistic heritage and contemporary cultural life while further strengthening the longstanding cultural ties between Armenia and Georgia.
