Winners of 19th Aram Khachaturian International Competition are known
The 19th Aram Khachaturian International Competition culminated in Yerevan. According to the decision of the jury, the first prize of the 19th edition was awarded to the pianist representing Armenia, Arina Antonosyan.
The second prize was awarded to the Japanese pianist Yuto Kiguchi, the third prize winner was Andrei Kurbet (Armenia). The first prize winner was awarded a cash prize in the amount of AMD equivalent to 10,000 US dollars, the latter also gets the opportunity to perform in concert with the State Symphony Orchestra of Armenia during the 2024-2025 concert season. The second-placed musician was awarded 5,000 US dollars and the third-prize winner - 3,000 US dollars.
Special prizes were also awarded within the competition: for the best performance of "Prelude and Fugue" by Johann Sebastian Bach, for the best performance of Frederic Chopin's Etude, for the best performance of Aram Khachatryan's Poem, etc. The "Sympathy of the Audience" special prize was also awarded, which was won by Lida Paturyan. She will have one concert with the State Symphony Orchestra of Armenia during the 2024-2025 concert season.
