Cellist Michael Karahanyan wins International Competition in Switzerland
“Meknark” Talent Development Target program has one more winner within the scope of international awards.
Young cellist Michael Karahanyan took part in a Swiss “Lares Vollversammlung Stiftung” fund competition and was awarded a winner title on June 18.
The young musicians involved in the “Meknark” program (artistic director: Armen Babakhanyan) have brought many awards to Armenia in recent months, in particular, Khachik Andreasyan and Arthur Grigoryan won the 5th Paderewski International Piano Competition. Arthur Grigoryan also won first prize at the first Sviatoslav Richter International Competition in South Korea, and a duet with Armen Puchinyan won the Grand Prix at the 2nd WPTA International Piano Competition in Finland.
