Yerevan Jazz Fest and Arno Babajanyan
The National Chamber Music Center presents a concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Arno Babajanyan within the Yerevan Jazz Fest on December 2 at 7:00 p.m. The concert will take place at Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall. The State Chamber Orchestra of Armenia (artistic director and principal conductor Vahan Martirosyan) and Vahagn Hayrapetyan Trio will perform during the evening. The orchestra will be led by conductor Robert Mlkeyan. The soloists for this concert are Mavr Mkrtchyan (baritone), Sofya Sayadyan (soprano), Daniel Melkonyan (trumpet). The concert will feature Arno Babajanyan's compositions, arranged by RA Honored artist Vahagn Hayrapetyan. The author of the project is Armen Sukiasyan, Deputy Director of NCCA.
The program has already been presented in the park of the Chamber Music House, as well as in the Kapan Cultural Center and Goris V. Vagharshyan State Drama Theater, receiving a warm reception from the audience.
