"Every Darkness Rises": an evening dedicated to 95th anniversary Khachatur Avetisyan held in Yerevan
On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of composer, canonist Khachatur Avetisyan a jubilee evening entitled "Every Darkness Rises" took place at the A. Spendiaryan National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet on May 23. The artistic director of the project was Mikael Avetisyan, the event was organized by the Armenian State Philharmonia.
The State Orchestra of National Instruments of Armenia (Artistic Director and Chief Conductor: RA Honored Artist, Professor Norayr Davtyan), "Naregatsi" Orchestra (Artistic Director: RA Honored Artist Artem Khachatur), YKSC Opera Studio Choir (Conductor: Gayane Sahakyan) State Dance Ensemble (Chief Choreographer: RA Honored Artist Asatur Karapetyan), State Dance Ensemble of Armenia "Barekamutyun" (Artistic Director: People's Artist of the RA Norayr Mehrabyan).
Khachatur Avetisyan's works were performed throughout the concert. The evening was a special tribute to the memory of the great composer. The composer's son, conductor Mikael Avetisyan, emphasizes that Khachatur Avetisyan has left a huge legacy, his works are still being done, the people love them.
