Armenian National Music presents Armenia at WOMEX expo in Spain
WOMEX is the most international and culturally diverse music expo in the world. It encompasses a trade fair, talks, films, and concerts, bringing together over 2,600 music professionals from more than 90 countries. This year, WOMEX will be hosted in A Coruña, Spain.
In these times of social and political crisis, the role of music stands as a beacon of hope for envisioning a brighter future. With its timeless essence, music serves as a bridge between generations, passing down the wisdom of our forebears to the contemporary moment. Since its inception, when the first instruments were created to replicate the distinctive sounds of specific landscapes, music has held the power to tether our bodies and ears to the land we inhabit. Armenian music is a living testament to our unique history and cultural heritage. Amid these challenging times, its deep-rooted connection to our ancestors and the land takes on particular significance. Now more than ever, sharing Armenian music with the world and one another is a profound and vital undertaking.
