June 1 with ANPO

In keeping with the already established tradition, this year the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra (artistic director and principal conductor Eduard Topchyan) again hosted International Children's Rights Day at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall, providing a delightful celebration for children not only from the capital but also from the regions. For 200 children from vulnerable groups in Yerevan, Chambarak, and other regions, as well as displaced Artsakh Armenians, that day became a fairy-tale event.

The festive day began at 5:00 PM in the courtyard adjacent to the Aram Khachaturian concert hall, where little guests were welcomed by actor-playwrights who organized joyful national games. The children used colorful chalk to brighten the entire area, and they enjoyed a variety of sweets. A tour of Yerevan was arranged for guests coming from the regions. All this was made possible through the long-term collaboration between the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall and various public organizations as part of humanitarian programs, along with the generous support of the orchestra’s friend, AraratBank.

The children’s festive day concluded with an extravagant concert held at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall, where the National Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Nerses Mkrtchyan, performed music from their favorite cartoons and films. The concert featured excerpts from Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker" ballet, as well as soundtracks from The Lion King, Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, Madagascar, Mulan, Star Wars, and other beloved films and cartoons. The performances were enhanced by vibrant video sequences and lighting design.

That day, the children carried home love, warmth, a fairy-tale mood, and unforgettable impressions of high art from the Aram Khachaturian concert hall.
