Four Armenian pianists show brilliant results in the "Putra" international online piano competition
The members of the "Meknark" talent development target program (artistic director: Armen Babakhanyan) showed brilliant results in the "Putra" international online piano competition. Arthur Grigoryan and Armen Puchinyan duo won the 1st prize in the "Piano Duo" category, Elen Khachikyan (piano) won the 2nd prize in the "Intermediate" category, Vardan Gyodakyan (piano) won the 3rd prize in the "Artist" category. Nane Khalatyan (piano) won the second prize in the "Young artist" category.
The duo will perform in the gala concert of the winners of the competition in the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, in the fall of 2021.
The jury of the competition included famous musicians: Yen Goh (Malaysia), Armen Babakhanyan (Armenia), Adam George (Hungary), Liu Duk An (Vietnam), Julian Jacobson (Great Britain) and Lu Fang Chiat (Malaysia). The competition was held in 7 categories, with the participation of 243 young musicians from 29 countries.
