Concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra in Persepolis
Within the framework of the visit of the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, Zhanna Andreasyan, to the Islamic Republic of Iran, an open-air concert by the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia will be held on September 6 at the historical monument complex of Persepolis.

The concert is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia.

The Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, the Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyed Reza Salehi Amirin, and other high-ranking officials will be present at this unprecedented event.The exclusive concert is organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, the Embassy of Armenia in Iran, the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts of Iran, the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, and the Fars Governorate.

The soloist for the concert is tenor Liparit Avetisyan, who will perform Sayat-Nova's "My Kamancha" aria from Alexander Harutyunyan's opera "Sayat-Nova," Konstantin Petrosyan's "Hayastan," and Robert Amirkhanyan's "Yeraz im Yerkir Hayreni." Ruhollah Khaleghi's patriotic song "Oh Iran" will also be performed. The evening will conclude with Aram Khachaturian's "Symphony No. 2."

The concert will be conducted by Eduard Topchyan, Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia.
The previous visit of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia to the Islamic Republic of Iran was in February 2000, 25 years ago. Loris Chgnavoryan's opera "Rostam and Sohrab" was performed at the Vahdat Concert Hall in Tehran, under the composer's direction.
