Mahler, Ravel Schumann, Brahms: ANPO's upcoming concerts
The Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Eduard Topchjan will present concerts, which set a high standard of performance - a cultural event not only for our country but also for the region.
On February 15, the National Philharmonic Orchestra together with National Academic Choir (artistic director and conductor: Hovhannes Chekidjian) will perform Mahler's philosophical Symphony No. 2," Resurrection ". The concert will be conducted by Eduard Topchjan. On that day, our compatriot soprano Ruzan Mantashyan and mezzo-soprano Olesya Petrova will perform as soloists.
The next concert of the ANPO, which is also a significant event, will take place on February 25. The orchestra will be conducted by the renowned conductor Vasily Petrenko. Petrenko is one of the most popular conductors of our time. He is the Musical Director of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of London, the Principal Conductor of the European Youth Orchestra and the Artistic Director of the Svetlanov State Academic Orchestra of Russia. The program will include a prelude to Weber's opera "The Freeshooter", Ravel's Piano Concerto G-dur, Brahms Symphony No. 1. The soloist of the concert is the famous pianist Simon Trpceski (Northern Macedonia).
The long-awaited concert of world-famous violinist, our compatriot Sergey Khachatryan, conducted by Eduard Topchyan, will take place on March 2. Sergey Khachatryan will perform Schumann's Violin Concerto, in the second part the orchestra will perform Brahms Symphony No. 4. The concert is charitable, all the proceeds will be donated to the treatment of children with cancer, blood diseases, and young people up to 25 years old.
