“The Color of Pomegranate”. Armenian-French dance performance dedicated to the 100th anniversary of S․ Parajanov
The A. Spendiaryan National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet will host the Armenian-French dance production "The Color of Pomegranate" in honor of Sergey Parajanov's 100th birthday on March 15 and 16, at 19:00. Murad Merzuki is the choreographer and artistic director, while Sate Khachatryan is the idea's originator. To create a dialogue between diverse cultures and areas of art, this performance combines hip-hop with Armenian traditional dance, and Armenian traditional music with electro music, attempting to convey all of Sergey Parajanov's poetry from the stage to the audience. Murad Merzuk and his assistant Kader Belmoktar will come to Armenia at the invitation of Saté Khachatryan, artistic director of the "Saté-Atre" theater organization.

The RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, the French Embassy in Armenia, and the French branch of the French Bureau of the AGBU supported the implementation of the project.
