Mane Galoyan wins the second prize at "Operalia"
World-famous tenor Placido Domingo's competition "Operalia" culminated yesterday at Bolshoi theater in Moscow. Soprano Mane Galoyam, the representative of Armenia, successfully overcoming all the stages of the contest, won the second prize. Also, Mane Galoyan was awarded The Pepita Embil Prize of Zarzuela, as well as the Rolex Prize of the Audience. Victoria Karkacheva, a mezzo-soprano from Russia, and Ivan Ayon-Rivas, tenor from Peru took the first prizes.  

More than thirty singers from different countries took part in the competition. Among the participants was Gayane Babajanyan from Russia, who was left out after the semifinals.
