Liparit Avetisyan and Constantine Orbelian recorded album with Kaunas Symphony Orchestra
The Kaunas Symphony Orchestra under the direction of the world-famous Armenian conductor, music director, and chief conductor of the New York City Opera Constantine Orbelian recorded the 20th-anniversary album of the famous Delos Music company, which included 13 famous arias for tenor, and these arias were performed by the talented Armenian opera singer Liparit Avetisyan. This is the first solo album by Liparit Avetisyan, the proposal to record which many years ago was made by maestro Constantine Orbelian himself.
Liparit Avetisyan, emphasizing the importance of cooperation with Constantine Orbelian, noted: “The idea for this recording originally came from maestro Orbelyan and we planned to make it four years ago, but for well-known reasons, such as the war, the pandemic, then my very busy schedule and, as a result, we couldn't find at least five days to meet in Kaunas. Fortunately, this year we succeeded. We planned to organize the recording in four days but missed it in three. We recorded 13 well-known arias, almost all the arias from my repertoire, that is, I perform all these parts in different theaters.
Liparit Avetisyan studied at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory in the class of B. Kudryavtsev. Then he continued his studies at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in the class of Professor Rafael Hakopyants. Currently, the artist is a soloist of A. Spendiaryan Opera and Ballet Theatre and performs at the largest opera venues in the world.
“First of all, I must say that I really missed Maestro Orbelian. I am very happy and proud to know him. Maestro Orbelian is like an older brother to me, a friend whose advice is always very important. The positive and warm atmosphere in which the maestro is always able to create and transfer this energy to others is the main guarantee of the easy implementation of such large-scale projects. I hope that in the near future, we will have new and interesting joint projects," said Liparit Avetisyan.
Kaunas also hosted a joint concert by Liparit Avetisyan and American opera singer Kristin Sampson with the participation of the Kaunas Symphony Orchestra conducted by Constantine Orbelian.
