More than 1,500 students participated in "Little Step"Competition-Festival of Musicians-Performers
The gala concert and the award ceremony of the 6th International Competition-Festival of Musicians-Performers "Little Step" were held at the Komitas Palace of Culture in Vagharshapat.

About 1,500 students from more than 150 educational institutions, both state and non-state, participated in the festival, which was organized with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports.

The event was attended by Daniel Danielyan, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia. Welcoming the participants, the Deputy Minister emphasized the importance of the competition as a platform for discovering talented children and enhancing cultural life in the regions. "We are ready to continue supporting such initiatives that promote the decentralization of art and the creative growth of the new generation," said Daniel Danielyan.

The festival was held in 13 categories, including piano, string, folk, and wind instruments, singing, and other disciplines. A 39-member professional committee, comprising Honored Artists of Art, renowned musicians, and representatives of the YSU teaching staff, oversaw the event. This year, for the first time, the festival introduced the “Author’s Song” category, with the gala concert and award ceremony taking place in Jermuk as part of the “Warm New Year in Jermuk” author’s song competition-festival.

The festival was founded by the “Artprogress” cultural non-governmental organization and the Vagharshapat community administration. The aim of the competition is to invigorate regional cultural life and discover talented musicians aged 8-20, providing professional support within art and music educational institutions.
