Vahram Dumanyan receives Hasmik Papian
Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia Vahram Dumanyan received world-famous opera singer, soprano Hasmik Papian. The meeting was also attended by ESCS Deputy Minister Ara Khzmalyan.
"I am glad to see you back in your homeland. Among many of our compatriots, I'm also your admirer, I highly appreciate not only your cultural but also civil activity," Minister said.
Vahram Dumanyan was interested in the singer's current activities and upcoming projects. The singer pointed out the need for young people to perform outside Armenia, self-affirmation, as well as the exchange of experience of performers already established abroad. In this context, Papyan mentioned that she starts a program to involve Armenian artists. According to her, many talented figures are ready to return to the homeland, to share their experience to young performers, making them competitive in European stages.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the existing problems in cultural life and the possible ways to solve them. They highlighted the need to invest resources in supporting the development of young people, as well as the unexplored role of art in enriching the caring, cultural life of the community.
