Asmik Grigoryan awarded Movses Khorenatsi medal
By the decree of RA President Armen Sargsyan, Asmik Grigoryan, soloist of the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theater, was awarded the Movses Khorenatsi Medal for her contribution to the development of culture. Yesterday, the President handed in the state award to the world-famous soprano, who was in Armenia these days.
Asmik Grigoryan is the daughter of two famous opera singers, People's Artist of the Republic of Armenia Gegham Grigoryan and Famous Lithuanian soprano Irena Milkevičiūtė and performs on the best stages of the world. She performed in the homeland, at the Alexander Spendiaryan National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater.
President Sargsyan congratulated the famous singer on her new creative achievements, noting that they were proud of her success and always happy to host her in the homeland. The singer mentioned that she sings on many stages of the world, but it is a special honor for her to perform at the Armenian Opera House, where her father worked and composed.
