A wandering cellist with a Russian soul
At the invitation of the Armenian State Philharmonia, legendary musician Mark Drobinsky will perform a solo concert at the Arno Babajanyan Concert Hall on May 8 at 7:00 PM.

“A wandering cellist with a Russian soul” – this is how the legendary musician Mark Drobinsky describes himself, and he continues to perform on the world’s most prestigious stages at 80 years old.
He studied at the Moscow Conservatory under the renowned Mstislav Rostropovich, whose direct influence shaped the depth and mastery of his performing art.

Numerous contemporary composers have dedicated their works to him, and it was through his performances that the compositions of innovative composers such as Alfred Schnittke, Sofia Gubaidulina, Edison Denisov, and others were premiered.

The evening will feature cello suites by Manuel de Falla, Igor Stravinsky, Michael Bronner, and Antonio Santana, with piano accompaniment from Astghik Ghukasyan.
