The winner of Classical Eurovision 2026 has been announced
Under the slogan “Armenia: A Place Where Classical Music Unites,” the prestigious Eurovision Young Musicians 2026 competition was held in Yerevan. The event was organized under the high patronage of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, through the joint efforts of the Public Television Company of Armenia (AMPTV) and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).

By decision of the international jury, Polish accordionist Michał Stochel was named the winner, becoming the first accordionist in the competition’s history to receive the Grand Prize. Latvia's percussionist Sonja Misiņa took second place, while Armenia's 15-year-old flutist Elen Virabyan placed third.

The event featured performances by the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra and the orchestra of the Alexander Spendiaryan National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet.

Eleven countries participated in the competition: Armenia, Portugal, Serbia, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, the Czech Republic, Cyprus, Poland, Latvia, and Sweden.

The international jury consisted of cellist Narek Hakhnazaryan, German conductor Julien Salemkour, Spanish flutist Eduard Velmar, and Roman Simovic, conductor of the London Symphony Orchestra.

The impressive event, held at the Alexander Spendiaryan National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet, was attended by President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan, and Deputy Minister Daniel Danielyan.
