Three Armenian Singers Selected for Operalia 2026

Three Armenian opera singers have been selected to compete in Operalia 2026, one of the world's most prestigious international opera competitions. The Armenian representatives are soprano Iana Aivazian, baritone Aksel Daveyan, and soprano Marianna Hovanisyan, who will showcase their talent to the internationally renowned jury and leading figures in the opera world.

This year's competition brings together 34 young opera singers from 15 countries. Participants represent Armenia, the United States, China, South Korea, Spain, France, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, Greece, Germany, Kazakhstan, Cuba, and other countries.

Operalia 2026 will take place in Shanghai, China, from October 26 to November 1, 2026, bringing together some of the world's most promising young opera talent.
