"Armenian Evening" took place within the 11th Puplinge Classique Festival in Geneve

A concert entitled "Armenian Evening" took place within the 11th Puplinge Classique Festival in Geneve, Switzerland on July 28. According to the official website of the festival, this concert program is being held for the 8th year in a row and includes works by both Armenian authors and foreign composers. This year, pianist, artistic director of the State Chamber Orchestra of Armenia Vahan Mardirossian, mezzo-soprano Juliet Galstyan and violinist Lusine Harutyunyan performed in Geneve.
Songs by Komitas, as well as Lieders by Richard Strauss, "Chants tziganes" by Antonin Dvorak, "Vocalize in the form of Habanera" by Maurice Ravel and "Habanera" from the opera "Carmen" by G. Bizet were performed on the first part of the concert. In the second part of the concert, V. Mardirossian and L. Harutyunyan presented Sonata for violin and piano in a minor N. 3 and extracts from the ballet "Gayaneh" by A. Khachaturian.
