Alexander Spendiaryan's 150th anniversary to be celebrated in St. Petersburg
Alexander Spendiaryan's 150th anniversary will be celebrated today at the Rimsky-Korsakov House-Museum in St. Petersburg. Within the event, the documentary film "Fulfilled Dream" made by the scientists of Alexander Spendiaryan House-Museum will be shown. The film presents the composer's house-museum, as well as materials, kept in the funds of the Y. Charents Museum of Literature and Art.
After the screening of the film, visitors will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the permanent exhibition of the Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov House-Museum, to see the grand piano with which Rimsky-Korsakov taught his talented student Alexander Spendiaryan. The evening will be culminated with a concert during which works by Alexander Spendiaryan will be performed. The concert is attended by soprano Hasmik Harutyunyants, violinist Mikhail Alexeev and pianist Natalya Gavrilova.
