Concert dedicated to E. Mirzoyan to take place in Dilijan
A concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of composer, pedagogue, People's Artist of the USSR, public figure Edward Mirzoyan will take place at Dilijan Composers house, at Beethoven concert hall on July 10, at 7:00 p.m. The event is organized by the National Chamber Music Center together with the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.
The concert will be performed by the State Chamber Orchestra of Armenia under the baton of artistic director, chief conductor Vahan Martirosyan. The program includes Edward Mirzoyan's String Quartet, Symphony for Strings and Timpani, Poem-Epitaph for Chamber Orchestra.
The Composers' resthouse of the Composers Union of Armenia in Dilijan was founded in 1963, and since 2013 it has been named after the great composer. This concert is not only a tribute to the great composer, but also aims to contribute to the popularization of the resthouse of the Composers Union in Dilijan.
