Valuing the film director's legacy. concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Henri Verneuil
A jubilee concert dedicated to the famous French-Armenian film director Henri Verneuil will take place on December 5 at 7:00 p.m. at Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall within the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the director. The project is implemented with the support of the RA Ministry of ESCS.
During the concert, the music of Henri Verneui's films will be performed by the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra (conductor: Eduard Topchjan), the song "Dle yaman" accompanied by Marseille-based duduk player Leon Minasyan. Compositions by Charles Aznavour and Michel Legrand also will be performed during the evening.
The concert will be attended by prestigious guests, artists from both Armenia and France as well as Verneuil's family members.
The aim of the event is to pay tribute to the memory of the famous French-Armenian film director, to present Verneuil's heritage, to appreciate his place and role in world cinema, to discover the peculiarity of national identity.
The organizers of the event are the National Cinema Center of Armenia and the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra.
