Concert dedicated to Harutyun Topikyan to be held in Yerevan
On July 23, at 7:00 p.m.  Komitas Chamber Music Hall will host a concert dedicated to the memory of the conductor, founder of the Yerevan State Chamber Choir, longtime artistic director, conductor, Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Armenia Harutyun Topikyan.

The Yerevan State Chamber Choir (artistic director and conductor: Christina Voskanyan) will perform at the concert.

The program includes works of Komitas, Tigran Mansuryan, Yervand Yerkanyan, David Halajyan, Grigor Arakelyan.

Let us remind you that Harutyun Topikyan, grateful to the Armenian choral art, passed away on October 26 2020 at the age of 69 due to the Covid-19. 

Starting 1996 up to 2004 the YSCC was supported by Catholicoses of all Armenians, His Holiness Garegin I and His Holiness Garegin II. During these years 9 CDs were recorded by the choir, including masterpieces of classical and contemporary Armenian music. In July 1997 the Yerevan Chamber Choir participated in the International Music Festival in Ravenna, Italy, where performed Armenian classical and modern music.
