A concert dedicated to Levon Chilingirian's 75th birthday will be organized within the "Hayahavaq"
A concert dedicated to the 75th anniversary of violinist and conductor Levon Chilingirian will be organized within the framework of the "Armenian Gathering" project. The concert will take place on November 8, at 7:00 p.m. at the Komitas Chamber Music House.
The State Chamber Orchestra of Armenia (artistic director and chief conductor: Vahan Martirosyan) will perform. during the concert Violinists Astghik Vardanyan and Levon Chilingirian (United Kingdom) will perform as soloists.
In the program: Y. S. Bach, B. Bartok, S. Barber, Y. Haydn.
Levon Chilingirian (born 28 May 1948) is a UK-based violinist of Armenian origin. The founder of the Chilingirian Quartet, he is also a professor and Chamber Music Artist in Residence at the Royal Academy of Music and Professor of Violin and Chamber Music at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, both in London.
