Emmanuel Tjeknavorian named the new music director of Milan Symphony Orchestra
Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, a 28-year-old Armenian violinist and conductor, has been named the new music director of the Milan Symphony Orchestra, reported to the Armenian Embassy in Italy.

Tjeknavorian’s violinist career has brought him to many of the world’s most important concert halls. As he now extends his career with a complete focus on conducting, he is a guest this season of the Graz Philharmonic, the Tonkünstler Orchestra, the Württembergisches Kammerorchester Heilbronn and the Bruckner Orchestra Linz, among others.In 2023, he opened the season of the Philharmonic Orchestra at La Scala with Italian conductor Riccardo Chailly.  

Emmanuel Tjeknavorian is the son of Loris Tjeknavorian, an Iranian-Armenian composer and conductor.
