Lisitsian Week announced
On the occasion of the 130th anniversary of the founder of Armenian ethnology, Srbuhi Lisitsian, a Lisitsian week is announced, during which a number of events will be held. The initiators of Lisitsian Week are the Karin Educational and Cultural NGO and the National Academy of Song and Dance in cooperation with the State Philharmonia of Armenia.

The week will start on Lisitsyan's birthday, June 27, at 19:00 at Freedom Square. On June 28, at 19:00 in the "Arno Babajanyan" concert hall, the solo concert of the "Tsovak" traditional song and dance group entitled "Bon quart" will take place.

Srbuhi Lisitsyan was an Armenian-Soviet ethnographer known for her development of a novel mathematical method for describing folk dance precisely using film techniques. Lisitsian spent her career at the Armenian Institute of Archeology and Ethnology as an ethnologist, after earning her Ph.D. at the Armenian Institute of History.
