"Sergey Rachmaninoff: I am Russian Composer" exhibition opened at Aram Khachaturian Museum
The Aram Khachaturian House Museum has opened a temporary exhibition named "Sergey Rachmaninoff: I am Russian Composer" to commemorate the famous composer's 150th birthday. The exhibition is presented by the Aram Khachaturian House Museum in collaboration with the National Museum of Music of Russia.
Sergey Rachmaninoff's life as a composer, pianist, and conductor is reflected in the exhibition. It will show rare papers and images, as well as a family tree and scores. Visitors to the show will be able to hear recordings of some of the composer's most popular compositions via QR codes.
A round table discussion titled "Rachmaninoff: Russian composer and citizen of the world" opened at the NAS RA Institute of Arts on May 3 as part of the "S. Rachmaninoff - 150" festivities.
The event series dedicated to S. Rachmaninoff will be held with the support of the RA Ministry of ESCS, Aram Khachaturian house-museum and the Institute of Arts of NAS RA.
