The passion for singing still lives in me։ Ruben Matevosyan

Renowned and beloved singer, People's Artist of the Armenian SSR, Ruben Matevosyan, celebrates his 85th birthday today. On this occasion, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, Zhanna Andreasyan, and Deputy Minister Daniel Danielyan visited the maestro to congratulate him on his anniversary.

 

“Your life is a unique and beautiful path of dedication to Armenian musical art. The mark you have left in the history of Armenian art is invaluable, for which we are grateful. I hope that we will have the opportunity to enjoy your presence for many more years,” said the Minister, wishing him health and inexhaustible creative energy.

 

Ruben Matevosyan expressed his gratitude for the appreciation and recognition, noting, “The passion for singing still lives in me, but even if I decide not to sing anymore, more than 900 songs have been recorded, 700 of which are digitized. They will live after me.”

 

During the visit, the maestro spoke about his journey over the years, shared interesting episodes from his biography, and discussed new projects.

Possible events to celebrate Ruben Matevosyan's 85th birthday within the jubilee year were also discussed.
