Polina Osetinskaya to perform in Armenia for the first time
The famous pianist Polina Osetinskaya’s first recital in Yerevan will be held on April 21 at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall.

Besides, Russian pianist will have master classes with young and talented Armenian musicians. The concert is organized as part of a partnership program between the Primavera Foundation of Armenia, the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall, and the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia. All proceeds from the sale of concert tickets will be directed to the support of educational programs for promising Armenian children in the field of classical music in the regions of Armenia.

Osetinskaya will present the program "Baroque Music in the Arthouse Cinema". The concert features works by Bach, Purcell, Handel, and Rameau that were heard in the cult films of the revolutionary directors of the 20th century: Stanley Kubrick, Ingmar Bergman, Andrei Tarkovsky, Francis Ford Coppola, and Lars von Trier.

Polina Osetinskaya has performed at Carnegie Hall, Vienna’s Musikverein, London’s Barbican Centre, Rome’s Teatro Argentina, as well as in Russia, Germany, Poland, and Israel. She also appears at festivals in Europe, Russia, and the United States.

Polina Osetinskaya has appeared with musicAeterna, Mariinsky Orchestra, The Tatarstan National Symphony Orchestra, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, The State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia “Evgeny Svetlanov”, and Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, among others. Onstage partners have included Maxim Vengerov, Julian Milkis, Ksenia Rappoport, Teodor Currentzis, Laurent Petitgirard, Vladimir Spivakov, Alexander Sladkovsky, Vassily Sinaisky, Andrey Boreyko, Dmitry Liss, Gerd Albrecht, Yan Pascal Tortelier, Thomas Sanderling. Ms. Osetinskaya has released recordings with the Quartz, Naxos, Sony Music, Bel-Aire, and Melodiya labels.
