Farewell to Martin Yeritsyan
On February 20, violinist, luthier, professor of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory Martin Yeritsyan passed away at the age of 90.

Martin Yeritsyan was born on January 31, 1932, in Yerevan. He first received his musical education at the Yerevan Music School after A. Spendiaryan, at the Yerevan Music College, then graduated from the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, then after his postgraduate studies, and entered the Armenian Philharmonic Quartet as a second violinist. In 1969, as a member of the quartet, she participated in the Queen Elizabeth International Music Competition in Brussels.

He has toured in France, Italy, Russia and other countries. He has taught at the chair of the quartet of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory (professor). In 1985 he moved to Czechoslovakia, where he worked with the famous luthier Vladimir Pilar.

Martin Yeritsyan has received numerous awards and diplomas, including the Prize of the Stradivarius International Competition in Italy (1980) and the Medal for Labor (2020).
He created about 500 violins, 200 violas, 29 cellos, 12 guitars, 1 oud, 26 canons, 15 kemanis, 7 bass kemanis, and more.

The farewell to Martin Yeritsyan will take place on February 22 at 6:00 p.m. in St. Hovhannes Church in Kond, the funeral ceremony-on February 23 at 13:00 at the same place.
